BandRescue.com recently traveled up to Chattanooga, TN to catch a great show on tour at Club Fathom. The Demonstration , from
Burlington, NC was on the bill and we bring you an interview along with a complete set from that night as well as drum videos of Peter Jackson, a highly skilled drummer. If you didn't already know, this band, minus the vocalist is also Killwhitneydead. More on KWD in another article.
If you haven't seen this band perform, we highly recommend you get out to a show and see them. Talk about explosive! Guitarists Rob Gabriella and David Shoaf do one armed cartwheels while playing their wireless guitars! Vocalist Zachary Messick sings from the floor to the rafters! He climbs anything that offers the way up. Bassist Josh Coe had the coolest Cowboy boots I've seen on a rocker. The band was so into the audience who really showed up that night I might add, that they began pulling kids up on the stage one by one at the end of the show. Before you knew it, the entire stage was covered. Like I say, it was a great show to be at on a Saturday night in Chattanooga, TN.
The Demonstration is releasing it's first album, "Accidents With Intelligence" via Medisaskare Records everywhere on October 28, 2008. The bands intial release "Words Of A Con-Artist" was recorded with Tribunal Records owned by Matt from Killwhitneydead. Be sure to check them out and pick up a copy of their album! The following is a play list beginning with their interview and going into the entire set that night. Immediately following is a playlist of drummer, Peter Jackson. We hope you enjoy this interview done by Cameron Compton, a new staff member of BandRescue.com. We will be publishing a bio on Cameron as soon as he gets it to us!

Metal Blade Records has issued the following informaton about the latest JFAC Headlining tour!
Glendale, AZ extreme metal powerhouse JOB FOR A COWBOY has announced fall, 2008 U.S. headlining dates in support of its celebrated debut album, Genesis. The month-long, 30-city trek will launch on November 13 in Pomona, CA and crisscross the country, wrapping on December 16 in Tucson, AZ. Support on the JOB FOR A COWBOY tour will be provided by Hate Eternal, All Shall Perish, Animosity and Annotations of an Autopsy.
The announcement of the headlining tour comes on the heels of JOB FOR A COWBOY's red hot main stage appearance at the 2008 Wacken Open Air Festival, where the band shared the stage with Iron Maiden, At the Gates, Children of Bodom and more. JFAC has toured the world relentlessly in the past 18 months, performing as handpicked support to metal titans Megadeth as part of both the UK and North American "GIGANTOUR" tours, co-headlining the highly successful "Radio Rebellion" tour with Polish death / black metal champions Behemoth and showcasing its live prowess as one of the featured acts of 2007's "Sounds of the Underground" summer festival tour in addition to a slew of North American headlining jaunts.
Children of Bodom has just announced the addition of U.S. melodic death metal act THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER to its tour. THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will share support on the COB tour run with the previously-announced Between the Buried and Me. The scheduled four week, 25 city tour will kick off on September 11th in Baltimore, MD and criss-cross the U.S., closing with a bang on October 10th in Worcester, MA.
Based out of Rochester, NY, WOODHAVEN, is currently on tour with Malevolence and BandRescue.com caught up with them in Alabama during a performance at Shenaniganz . In our interview, you will hear of their influences and crazy times on the road as well as their upcoming tour with Suffokate and where they see themselves in the future. We had a blast hanging out with the band after the show. We danced at the venue when Jim, owner of Shenaniganz turned up the tunes afterwards. We then departed for a local mall where we shared some taco's and conducted our interview.
The band is currently on their second big tour which is leading up to a nation wide tour with Suffokate in September.
Woodhaven Tour With Suffokate!
We saw a band of hard working musicians who have a strong work ethic. The last band I saw with this drive was Whitechapel. Wouldn't you know it...Whitechapel just happens to be one of their influences! The band released their first album on July 15th that they are currently promoting on tour. Go pick up "Watching From The Shadows" HERE.
Woodhaven with Cameron & SydVicious of BandRescue.com
The following information is a little history on the band that we grabbed from their myspace page.
"In late May of 2007 Rochester New York spawned WoodHaven. With a combination of technical offtime guitar riffs, shredding double bass, offtime drumfills, blast beats, gutterals, growls, and slow sludgey breakdowns WoodHaven has created their own style of Deathcore. Be it local shows, surrounding city shows, or touring the 5piece has turned heads and have gained a cult following wherever they go."
Please watch our interview with the band and then go visit their site!
We had to wind down the evening and say goodbye to some great new friends. It was a sad departure since we felt like we had already known them from other shows. We know they will be back through the South and you can guarantee we will go meet up with our friends again. Do yourselves a favor and get to know these guys. They are a great addition to the genre and we feel they are going places!
Below you will find our interview, the bands entire set, along with drummer, Matt Robertson's set that we filmed for Sickdrummer.com
Impending Doom from Riverside, CA will see their debut video for "My Nemesis" on Headbangers Ball tomorrow! These Death Metal Christians are serious about salvation and making music as you will read in the Headbangers blog here.
The band heads out on the Bang Your Head Til We Raise The Dead tour August 28th with headliners, Whitechapel , Through The Eyes Of The Dead and A Different Breed of Killer on August 28. Check out their page for dates in your city!

Look What I Did - Nashville, TN
Nashville, TN based band "Look What I Did" posted a meaningful blog this week. Probably one of the best we've seen in a long time. We asked their permission to post it here for the masses.
"Punk rock, rock and roll, art culture, and everything about "cool" is and always has been a reaction to what already is, and what is becoming stale. Wearing fashionable or glamorous clothes while making music that was the most noisy and extreme on earth by leaps and bounds was ironic and exciting in 1999 as a reaction to the machismo and homophobia of nu metal and rapcore. Straight Edge lifestyle was Ian MacKaye's personal reaction to the drug addiction and stale vacuous culture of self destruction in the late 80's hardcore scene. Indie dance music made to mimic the cliche's of pop hip hop in an ironic fashion was a super cool thing in the 1990s. Introspective, heartfelt anthems of love by jilted punkers, a genre called Emo, served well to scare off the tough guys in the mid 90s. Death metal with garbled vocals that sound like pigs or screeching banshees with lyrics about gore and satanism were against the grain, absurd, incredible sounds in the late 80s to mid 90s. Grindcore, with its fifteen second songs and controversial anti-pc lyrics, brought rooms to a standstill, dumb with shock, in the mid to late 90s."
