FAQ

Do you rescue bands that are stranded on the road?

  • No.  If you left on tour without a plan in place for those kinds of situations then maybe you need to sit on the side of the road for a while.  Seriously though, we are trying to build a network of BandRescue mechanics around the nation that are willing to drop what they are doing and come help.  If you know of anyone awesome like that, please send the informaton to us so we can contact them and get them listed!

Then why does your name say "Rescue"?

  • You try to come up with a name that fits this kind of service that isn't already used and see what you come up with!

What exactly do you do?

  • Venue mapping funtion
  • Tour Builder
  • Van Information
  • Trailer Information
  • Video Interviews
  • Web Interviews

Can you explain what the Venue mapping function is?

  • The Venue Mapping Function under the tab called "Venue Maps" is still under construction.  There is a tremendous amount of information being entered into this area every week.  Presently you can use the drop down menus to navigate your way to some of our test cities.  Currently, Nashville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Wilmington, NC and a few other obscure cities are complete.  If you navigate to Nashville, TN, this is what will happen.  Select Rocketown as your venue of choice.  Once on that map let the page load up and you will see a million different map markers pop up with a long list of services under it.  The Venue itself is marked as a house with a skull on it.
  • Once the page loads, click on the desired services you might want to visit once you leave the venue.  After you selelct all of the services you need to drive to, click the TV screen.  That will display a list of your choices.  You can delete or add more at that point.  Once you are satisfied with your choice, click the steering wheel and the magic happens!  You will be routed to each of those locations from the venue you are sitting at.
  • It's my hope that not having to type addresses at 2:00 in the morning inside your dark van will help you get where you need to go without a lot of effort on your part and without offending a band-mate who just wants to sleep. There is one flaw in this system.  You need to choose the services based on location in the order you want to visit them.  You will know which service is located where by hovering over the marker on the  map and then find it below on the list.  This will be corrected soon.  We aren't perfect but we sure do try hard!

How much does the map function/tour builder cost to use?

  • Nothing!  Zero, Zilch, Nada (unless we change our minds later)

Will you include my company/band/venue on your web site in the links section?

  • Sure, if you're legit.  You need to become a registered user, then send us all of your contact information by clicking on the Contacts tab then forming a message to us leaving your company name, address, phone, web site address and any other applicable information.

You have listed our Venue on your map and we are not presently holding shows

  • Send us a message and we will gladly remove you!

Will you do a live interview of our band?

  • We would be happy to if your band is where we can access you and we have nothing else scheduled. You should probably be half way decent, too.

Will you do a web interview of our band?

  • Yes, if you have been on tour in at least one state.

You haven't answered my question here, now what?

  • Click the contacts tab and send us a message.  We will be adding more FAQ as we think of them.
