IF you haven't heard of A Plea For Purging, you must have spent half the year in a hole somewhere. The band toured non-stop in 2007 and probably hit nearly every town with a venue in the United States. Facedown Records signed the band earlier this year.   We will be watching this label much closer now because they obviously know exactly what they are doing when it comes to picking up talent for their organization.

APFP are well known for their crazy antics, afterall, who doesn't enjoy a good laugh?  They seem to take humor and their talented musicianship with them wherever they go.  People naturally gravitate toward them because of who they are as humans.  They are humble in every way.

 

We've known this band since they first began to tour and have watched them blow up....literally!  APFP makes it clear that their mission is to reach kids and make a connection.  They share their faith from the stage and offer to talk to kids afterwards if they have any questions.  In our interview you will get to know Andy, Lyle and Blake. John and Aaron were out at the merch table talking with kids, even an hour after the show was over when we began our interview.  After a typical show, Andy stands with a sign around his neck that asks for dontations toward his cell phone bill.  (59.00 a month)  Or he would love to find a girlfriend that would pay his cell phone bill forhim.  

In between venues, Blake spends his time designing.  Blake is extremely artistic and owns a company called Fierce Dragon Designs .     We use Blake for all of our shirt designs.  Recently we added a design based on a well known movie only the characters were changed to protect the innocent.  A Plea For Purging became our characters, it seemed like a natural fit.  BandRescue will be launching their merch store soon and a portion of the proceeds for each of these shirts sold will go back to the band to help fund their operation.  If this becomes popular, we will add other bands to our mission every few months.
